An elderly Palmerton area resident has died of burn injuries he sustained in May.

The Lehigh County coroner's office said Hubert Renninger, 82, of 1169 Mauch Chunk Rd., died on Monday, July 2, about 9:53 p.m. at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.The report states Renninger died of complications of burns that resulted from a vehicle accident that occurred while repairing a vehicle. The incident occurred at 32 E. Fireline Rd., Parryville.State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident, the coroner's report noted.
