A Schuylkill County man was arrested for making a bomb threat to a store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.

State police at Frackville said about 7:30 a.m. on June 28 employees at the Kmart store received a call from a male saying "there is a bomb in your store and its set to go off." The store and the rest of the mall was then evacuated.The mall was searched by members of the state police Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations Canine section, which turned up negative results for a bomb and/or its components.Through further investigation it was learned the phone number that called the store was owned by Michael Paul Levandusky, 22, of Shenandoah. On June 29 troopers interviewed Levandusky and he admitted to making the call and said he thought he was just playing a prank.He was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats and threat to use weapons of mass destruction. He was arraigned before District Judge Christina Hale, of Frackville, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
