Earns associate degree from LCCC

Christina Peppard, Palmerton, received her associate degree in applied science as an occupational therapy assistant on May 16 at Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville. She graduated cum laude.

While attending LCCC Christina was inducted into the Chi Alpha Epsilon and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Societies. She also initiated advocacy with the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association that led to the successful restoration of the Occupational Therapy Assistant profession to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry's High Priority Occupation List.She was awarded the LCCC Occupational Therapy Assistant Student Scholarship. This award is given to a student who has achieved academic excellence, service in the occupational therapy assistant program, and has demonstrated dedication and commitment to the profession.Christina is the mother of two children and has one granddaughter.
