Panther Valley High School's JROTC will hold it's Award Night on Tuesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. at the high school. Family and friends are invited to come out and congratulate the cadets.JROTC Boosters meetingThe monthly meeting of the Panther Valley High School JROTC Boosters will be held on May 21 at 6 p.m. in the JROTC room. Preparations for the annual picnic at Mauch Chunk Lake will be discussed.Little LeagueThe members of the Anthracite Little League teams of Nesquehoning and Summit Hill will parade from the VFW Post home down Center Street to the field on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. The public is welcome to cheer on the players and coaches along the parade route. The games will follow at the Nesquehoning Little League Field.The Anthracite Little League Association is seeking volunteers to assist in umpiring games for the 2012 Little League season.
