ATV riders, bike riders, walkers and runners are asked by members of the Tamaqua Volunteers community initiative group to be cautious as they travel along state and area roads. The group's president stressed that hundreds if not thousands of thin metal wires signs still remain along these roadways. An anonymous runner, who had tripped over one of them along the Pottsville Stretch, SR209 in Walker Township, said, "These signs were placed here prior to the election and have not been completely removed." She added, "People can become seriously hurt or even killed." The remnants of two thin metal election signs stick out of the ground along SR209 in Walker Township. Even though these two wire signs were removed, hundreds are still out there.
