On Monday afternoon the Friends of the Dimmick Memorial Library held an Afternoon Tea to thank all of the volunteers who work to support the Friends group and the Dimmick Memorial Library in Jim Thorpe.

Virginia "Ginny" Dunbar, a long time member of the group, was honored for all she has done over the years.Joining the Friends group in 1989, Dunbar had served as the group's president for five years and is currently the vice president, a position she has held now for eight years.To honor both Dunbar and another very long time member and past president Gwen Gillespie, the Friends have donated a bench for the garden in front of the Dimmick Library which will be dedicated to both women.The Afternoon Tea was attended by about 25 Friends and friends of Friends, all of whom have contributed time and energy at the Friends House or behind the scenes.
