Plans for Palmerton office building clears first hurdle

Plans for the eventual construction of a nearly 15,000-square-foot office building in Palmerton have cleared their first hurdle.

Representatives from Pencor Services, Inc., met with the borough's Planning Commission on Wednesday to discuss the proposed construction of the building in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue. The planners granted Pencor conditional approval for a lot consolidation plan, according to borough Manager Rodger Danielson."They made a recommendation to council," Danielson said. "There were questions raised by the engineer, most were editing remarks on the plan, and any comments that may come from the county Planning Commission."
