A Lehigh County cyclist was fatally injured when his motorcycle left a county road and struck a tree.

State police at Fogelsville said David Davis, 62, of Orefield, was found about 5:37 p.m. along the 2500 block of Township Line Road, in Lowhill Township. Troopers said the crash occurred sometime between 10:25 a.m. and when he was found.Troopers said Davis was operating a 2005 Honda Wing bike northbound when the vehicle went onto the left berm and struck a tree. Upon impact Davis was ejected from the bike and struck the tree.Davis was not wearing a helmet, troopers noted. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
