Hargrove accused in seventh robbery

A Hazleton man already charged with six armed robberies in a three-county area, was charged with a seventh on Tuesday.

State police at Frackville charged Tysheed L. Hargrove, 19, with the armed robbery of the Exxon/Uni-Mart, located at 541 Altamont Blvd., in West Mahanoy Township. That robbery occurred on Feb. 3 about 3:15 a.m.He was charged with robbery, three counts, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, firearms not to be carried without a license, unlawful restraint, possessing instruments of crime, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.He was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, and returned to the county prison in Pottsville where he is being held on the other charges.He is accused of armed robberies in Schuylkill, Carbon and Luzerne counties.In the latest case he stole about $1,975 in U.S. currency in the robbery.Hargrove has been charged by Rush Township police with similar offenses on Feb. 3 for the robbery of the Turkey Hill Minit Mart in Hometown where he made off with $80. He faces charges for the Jan. 5 robbery at a Uni-Mart in Foster Township, Luzerne County.He is also facing charges in a Jan. 26 robbery at the Mini Mart in McAdoo; Jan. 20 robbery of Fegley's Mini Mart in Tamaqua; and Feb. 5 robbery of the Wawa store in Kidder Township, Carbon County.
