Cleaning vandalism in Tamaqua

ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Community members with the Tamaqua Volunteers community initiative group, businesses and non-profit organizations came together over the weekend to paint over the recent graffiti that was sprayed on the sides, back and roof of the Tamaqua YMCA and Jameway Shopping Center. Nick Boyle, property manager with BET Associates, who own the property, stated, "It is great to see so many community members come together so fast to do go." Providing supply and food donations to the volunteers were BET Associates, Boyle Electric, Lehighton Anthracite, Lehigh Natural Resources, Tamaqua YMCA, Tamaqua Volunteers, Tamaqua Crime Watch, Schick's Cafe and Calcutta, Ziegler's Auto Repair and others.
