3 Tamaqua residents plead guilty in court

Three Tamaqua residents were among 19 who entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court and were sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin.

Corrine Duke, 43, of 264 Brown St., Tamaqua, on a charge of resisting arrest was placed on probation 12 months and shall submit to a medical health evaluation, and pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA). Duke was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Maria Aracena, last Aug. 16 in the 200 block of E. Broad St.Nicholas D'Angelo, 21, of 334 Pine St., Apt. 2, Tamaqua, on a charge of theft was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours of community service.He was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Bynon, charged with entering the basement of the Hegarty Towers building on Pine Street on Nov. 19, 2009, and liquor bottles. He previously had been placed in the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program but it was terminated when he broke the rules.Kevin Michael Sanders, 32, of 108 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, on a charge of simple assault was placed on probation for 12 months, and pay $50 to CJEA. A charge of endangering welfare of a child was nol prossed. He was cited by Tamaqua Cpl. Henry Woods, last April 5.Sean M. Garcia, 29, of 44 E. Grant St., McAdoo, on a charge of harassment of Jessica Moyer in domestic dispute was fined $25 plus costs. He was cited by McAdoo Patrolman Shawn Kistler.Jonathan Whateley, 21, 412 W. Spruce St., Hazleton, on possession of drug paraphernalia in Coaldale was sentenced to serve one to 12 months in the county prison with the sentence to begin Friday, June 1, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab.On a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was given a concurrent 30 day probation sentence. He was cited by Patrolman Jeremy Talanca, last June 16 at First and E. High sts.Rochelle A. Yesalusky, 27, Frackville, on a charge of harassment was fined $100 plus court costs. She was cited by by Frackville Patrolman George Parnell, of harassment of ex-husband, Adam Yesalusky, by cell phone.Michelle Ann Willie, 46, Frackville, on charges of harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia was placed on probation for 18 months with the sentence to begin at the expiration of a prison sentence of six to 23 months she is now serving in the county prison on a receiving stolen property charge.Willie was charged with harassment by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey R. Bowers, last Aug. 7 and of the drug charge by Trooper Robert Kluge last Oct. 4 at a motel in North Manheim Township. Willie was also ordered to pay $100 to CJEA.Steven K. Maxwell, 33, Girardville, on a charge of harassment was sentenced to serve 63 days in the county prison, however, since he has already served the time was immediately paroled. He was cited by Girardville Patrolman Peter Wysochansky.Francis Joseph Piacine III, Pottsville, on a charge of possession of a prohibitive weapon (make shift knife) was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $20 to Jennifer Brant, Pottsville. On a charge of disorderly conduct he was fined $75. He was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Brian J. Reno.John Joseph Kamant, 51, Shenandoah, on a charge of loitering and prowling in the 200 block on N. Jardin St., Shenandoah, was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours community service. On a charge of public drunkenness was fined $25. He was cited by Shenandoah Patrolman Michael O'Neill.Derrick Emory Yeager, 24, Shenandoah, on a charge of retail theft from The Deb Store, Schuylkill Mall, was given credit for having served 24 days in the county prison and was released on parole for 18 months during which period he must perform 10 hours of community service, and make restitution of $41.98 to the store. He was cited by Trooper Paul Hardnock.Charles David Strouse Sr., 61, Pottsville, on a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, fined $1,000, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service, and receive outpatient treatment. Strouse was cited by Pottsville Cpl. Dennis G. Wiederhold, last June 4.Carl W. Fetterhoff, 44, Williamstown, on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance, was sentenced to serve two to 23 months in the county prison, fined $100, pay $100 to the SAE fund, make restitution of $360 to the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. He was stopped by drug task force officers on Interstate 81 in Foster Township last May 17.Jason James Knoll, 40, Pine Grove, on a charge of DUI was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service, and receive substance abuse treatment.On a summary charge of a failing to have a driver's license was fined $200 and on a summary charge of failing to drive on a roadway laned for traffic fined $25 plus $100 costs. Knoll was cited by Trooper Michael Ryan when stopped last June 25 on Pleasant Valley Road in Pine Grove Township.John Cyle Leitzel, 28, Tower City, on a DUI charge was sentenced to serve 30 days to six months in the county prison, fined $750, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA, and receive outpatient treatment.On summary charges of failed to obey traffic control device and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic, fined $25 each and on a charge of failing to wear a seat belt fined $10 plus $150 costs. Leitzel was cited by Trooper Kimberly Moore when stopped on Nov. 25, 2010, in Porter Township.Ekaterina S. Gurova, 18, Scranton, on a charge of simple assault following an argument at Saint Catherine's Emergency Room, Ashland, after being admitted for treatment of an injury, was given credit for spending 50 days in the county prison and was released on parole for 12 months, and shall have no contact with the victim. On a charge of public drunkenness was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Gurova was cited by Ashland Officer Richard Haraschak III.Elizabeth Anne Norris, 40, Palo Alto, on two counts of simple assault of a state trooper was given credit for eight days spent in the county prison and released on parole for 35 months.On a two counts of endangering the welfare of a child was given an extra 18 months probation to begin at the expiration of the first sentence. Norris also must pay $50 to CJEA, and cooperate with the Children and Youth Services Agency. She was cited by Troopers Bernard S. Spece and Michael V. Ryan last May 11 and 20.Kelly Nicole Ayres-Hein, 27, Minersville, on six counts of endangering the welfare of children was placed on probation for two years, pay $50 to CJEA, and cooperate with Children and Youth Services Agency. She was cited by Minersville Patrolman Jason A. Klouser, last April 27.Jonathan Ryan Dombrowski, 23, Mahanoy City, on charge of DUI of drugs was sentenced to serve 90 days to five years in the county prison with the sentence to begin Saturday, March 3, at 9 a.m., fined $1,500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $120 to Schuylkill Medical Center, and receive outpatient treatment.On a summary charges of driving while his license was suspended was fined $200 and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic fined $25 plus $100 costs. He was cited by Trooper Paul Hardnock on Jan. 11, 2011, on SR54 in Ryan Township.He also pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia as cited by Rush Township Cpl. Duane Frederick, when stopped Jan. 12, 2011, on Pine Creek Drive, Barnesville, and was given a 12 months probation concurrent sentence and pay $50 to CJEA.On a charge of unauthorized use of the car of Eleanor Levertavish, Mahanoy City, was also given a 12 months probation to run concurrent with the other sentences. He was cited by Mahanoy City Cpl. Michael Dissinger, on Jan. 12, 2011.
