A methamphetamine laboratory was located in Monroe County and two persons have been arrested and jailed.

Pocono Mountain Regional police identified the suspects as Brian Eyet, 28, and Michelle Casella, 29, both of 1434 Lakeside Drive, in the A Pocono Country Place development, in Coolbaugh Township.Police said on Sunday, Feb. 19, about 5:53 p.m. officers were asked to respond to the Lakeside Drive address to assist the Monroe County Office of Children & Youth in the investigation of the welfare of a child.Found at the home were Eyet, Casella and their 15-month-old son. After a brief investigation, officers found quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine, a digital scale and other paraphernalia associated with a methamphetamine manufacture and distribution.Officers further determined that it appeared to be a active "meth lab" inside the home.Pocono officers then contacted the state police for their Clandestine Laboratory Response Team. Troopers assigned to that unit arrived at the scene and confirmed that it was a meth lab and that it was at the point in the process which was most volatile and hazardous.This required that ambulance and fire department personnel be summoned to the scene.State police processed the scene and concluded the residence contained an operational active meth lab and contained two precursors used in the manufacture of methamphetamine- pseudeophedrine and lithium.Pocono police said all evidence collected at the scene was consistent with individuals engaged in the illegal manufacture and sale of methamphetamine.A further investigation revealed that Eyet was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 18, by Stroud Regional police for the sale of methamphetamine. He was arraigned with bail set at $10,000. The bail was posted by Casella, police said, and he was released.Police said Children & Youth took custody of the 15-month-old male.Eyet and Casella were taken into custody and charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, criminal conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, liquified ammonia gas, precursors and chemicals, all felonies; possessing instruments of crime, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.The two were arraigned before District Judge JoLana Kravitz, of Stroudsburg, and committed to the county prison in Snydersville, in lieu of $50,000 cash bail each.
