Tamaqua Raider Band performs in Florida

Members of the Tamaqua Raider Band took their show on the road, all the way to Orlando, Fla., to march in a Disney parade. Over 100 band members and 35 chaperones left from the high school Tuesday and will return on the Feb. 18. Mark Beltz, band director, stated that all the students saved up to go on this trip. He also added that thousands of spectators are expected to watch the parade, which was set for today. The band, which traditionally takes this trip to Florida every four to five years, will also spend time visiting theme parks in the area.
