A Hazleton man wanted by Lansford police has turned himself in.

Jeronto J. Bryan Jr., 32, whose last known address was 633 W. Diamond Ave. Apt. C, Hazleton, surrendered Thursday to District judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford and was released on unsecured bail.Bryan faces charges from an incident which took place at 1:22 a.m. July 17, in Lansford. Charges of escape, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property, careless driving, duties at stop signs, limitations on backing, and one-way roadways and rotary traffic islands were filed by Officer Jason A. Helmer.Bryan was driving recklessly, going in reverse on Walnut Street, a one-way street, when he struck a parked car. he sped away from police, spinning his wheels and going through a stop sign at walnut and East Bertsch streets, as police tried to arrest a boy who was Bryan's passenger.The boy, identified only as TRC, was attempting to break into a residence on East Kline Avenue, according to witnesses, and had been observed prowling around the residence just before Bryan's Jeep struck the parked vehicle.Bryan later abandoned the Jeep in Summit Hill.Man charged afterMinit Mart incidentA Lansford man faces drug and resisting arrest charges after an incident at the Turkey Hill Minit Mart in that borough.Anthony Napolitano, 26, of 13 Walnut St, was wanted on a warrant when Lansford police officers Jeff Ohl and Joshua Tom were alerted by Summit Hill officer Todd Woodward that Napolitano was at the convenience store.The incident unfolded as Ohl and Tom arrived at the Turkey Hill at about 2 a.m. Friday morning to arrest Napolitano. He resisted arrest, pushing Tom tried to pat him down to make sure he wasn't carrying weapons or needles. There was a struggle, and Napolitano ended up damaging a car parked nearby. He was finally arrested, and police discovered several bags of heroin on him.Carbon County Adult Probation was notified, and Napolitano was taken to jail.The drug and resisting arrest charges are pending the outcome of an investigation into the incident.
