The 2012 schedule at Penn's Peak is shaping into a busy one with already over a dozen concerts and 10 dinner shows announced.

Some of the stars coming to perform on the spacious stage with the million dollar sound system include Three Dog Night, Glen Campbell, Nitty Ditty Dirt Band, and Edgar Winter.Tonight, Air Supply makes its first stop of its 2012 touring schedule at the Jim Thorpe venue. Air Supply has had such hits as "All Out of Love" and "Every Woman in the World."The duo consists of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, native Australians who have been performing together for 36 years.Tickets will be available at the door.One of the most anticipated concerts will be Glen Campbell: The Goodbye Tour, on April 19. Campbell recently did the concert at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and got rave reviews.Attending that concert, during which he received a standing ovation, were stars Tanya Tucker, Ricky Skaggs, and Larry Gatlin. Three family members were part of his band.Campbell has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.Three Dog Night, whose hits include "Joy to the World" and "One," make a return visit to the venue on Saturday, March 31.Danny Hutton, lead singer and a founding member of the band, said he loves Jim Thorpe and had even considered buying real estate in the community.Three Dog Night enter their 4th decade bringing with them some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music. In the years 1969 through 1974, no other group moved more records, sold more concert tickets or achieved more top 10 hits.The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band makes its first ever appearance in Jim Thorpe on June 2 at 8 p.m.Their groundbreaking "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" album has been inducted into the U.S. Library of Congress as well as the Grammy Hall of Fame.Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's recording of "Mr. Bojangles" was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2010.Another of their hits was "Dance Little Jean," which tells about the happiness a little girl experiences when her mother and father get married.The luncheon shows have their own uniqueness, ranging from country music, to pop, to the sounds of the big bands.Opening the luncheon show calendar will be Beatlemania Now, which is a Beatles tribute band.Tim Gillis and Twitty Fever will be hosting "Branson Fever" on two different occasions.The Tim Gillis Band was the first to create and produce a real Branson Style Stage Show for Eastern fans.Twitty Fever is a veteran country band that plays traditional and new country.
