Food pantryThe Summit Hill Food Pantry, headquartered in the Heritage Center at Hazard and Chestnut streets, will hold a mini-pantry (distribution) of nonperishable food commodities on Tuesday, Jan. 10.The food will be distributed from 10-11 a.m. Those who are eligible for the items are asked to be prompt and to bring sturdy tote bags with them to help carry the food.The regular monthly pantry distribution will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. The doors will open promptly at 10 o'clock. Those attending are asked to bring tote bags for "extras."St. Paul LutheranThe Rev. George Zacharda, a retired pastor from Catasauqua, will lead the worship service on Sunday, Jan. 8, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m.The church's Sunday school will meet at 9 a.m.St. Paul's church council will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. in the churchLansfordAMVETS to meetThe AMVETS Post 83, Lansford, will meet on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at the post home. Commander Perry F. Shelton will be in charge of the meeting.A meeting of the post's Home Association will be held immediately after the post meeting.
