In recognition of National Cholesterol Education Awareness Month, Blue Mountain Health System will offer a program, Cholesterol, Friend or Foe?, on Wed., Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. in the Community Room at the Gnaden Huetten campus, 211 N. 12th St. in Lehighton.
A major focus on the battle against heart disease is lowering your total cholesterol levels. Speaker, Nancy Matyas, MS, RD, LDL, clinical nutrition manager at BMHS, will discuss the top five foods to help you lower your cholesterol numbers, and the dinner menu will feature those five foods.
