State police at Frackville are investigating a robbery and assault incident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Schuylkill County. Troopers said the incident occurred between 3 and 3:15 p.m. at a farmhouse at 293 Orchard Road, in Ryan Township.

Troopers said at the time listed two males arrived at the above location and kicked in a side door to the home. They then entered the property and removed copper tubing from the basement area. They also took several power tools from the home and placed them on the back porch.

Scott Dewire, the property owner, then observed them and approached the suspects' vehicle and attempted to remove the keys. At this point the two saw Dewire and assaulted him. They then fled the scene.

The two were described as being white males. One was believed to be 40-45 years of age, with a beard, six-feet tall, and weighing about 180-200 pounds. The second suspect is age 20-25, with no facial hair, about five-feet, seven to nine inches tall, weighing between 150 to 160 pounds.

The suspect vehicle is an older model Ford Escort station wagon, troopers said.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 874-5300.
