Four persons were injured when a vehicle crashed and rolled onto its roof at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 26 on Interstate 81 in Cass Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Satparshi Debroy, 28, the driver of the vehicle, and three passengers, Gourab Sabui, 26, Payel Chattersee, 26, and Ranit Ghosh, 27, were transported to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after the crash. Police said each of them sustained moderate injuries. Debroy, Sabui and Ghosh are all from Orlando, Fla., while Chattersee is from Raleigh, N.C.

Police said Debroy was driving a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound in the passing lane of the interstate and was approaching the Gordon Mountain Road overpass when he lost control of the vehicle on the wet and slushy roadway. Police said the Jeep traveled onto the center median and went airborne, landing on its roof in the eastbound lane of Gordon Mountain Road.
