CCCC and CCEDC plans "Winter Wonderland" holiday celebration

Carbon County Chamber of Commerce and the Carbon County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) will come together to host a joint "Winter Wonderland" Annual Dinner and Holiday Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Mahoning Valley Country Club, Lehighton.

In support of the Chamber's new "Strength in Numbers" campaign, this will be the first time that the Chamber and the CEDC will combine their annual dinner meeting and expand it into an elegant and fun holiday celebration.Dawn Ferrante, director of Carbon County Economic Development and chairman of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, states, "It's all about bringing all of us together and joining forces to share resources and accomplish great things. Ever since the launch of our Chamber's "Strength in Numbers' Campaign this past September, there has been a lot of excitement, increased member participation and a renewed energy in the Carbon County Chamber. Our members are really enjoying the positive changes that we have made so far and have already begun to experience the true benefits of Chamber involvement. The Annual Dinner is one of our yearly signature events. It symbolizes who we are as both an organization and a community and celebrates our accomplishments as well as the selfless contributions made by our membership. The Carbon County Chamber and the CCEDC are two special groups that are here to initiate change and promote business and community growth in Carbon County; therefore, it only made sense to combine our separate annual dinners into one fantastic event."And fantastic, it will be. This year's Platinum Event Sponsors are PPL, Blue Mountain Health System and First Northern Bank & Trust. Guests will enjoy a beautiful evening of celebration with delicious cuisine by Macaluso's Restaurant and will be motivated and inspired by a surprise celebrity guest speaker, who will be sure to leave everyone smiling. Two prestigious awards will also be given to this year's honorees: Volunteer of the Year will be presented to Carbon County entrepreneur and philanthropist, Frank Potoczak of Castle Grill & Secure Technologies while Business of the Year will be presented to Blue Mountain Health System.During the event, guests may also participate in a silent auction.Carbon County Chamber & CCEDC Members and their guests are invited to attend the event and also take advantage of sponsorship opportunities as well as donate silent auction items. For additional information, call Heather McClure at (610) 379-5000 or mail @carboncountychamber.org.
