Lansford woman faces drug charges
Christine Edmondson, 43, of 243 E. Ridge St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place on July 11 at 12:10 a.m. Charges were filed by borough Officer Joshua Tom. Edmondson is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:
Tom was investigating a criminal mischief incident when he and his colleagues followed a blood trail that led from the crime scene to 243 E. Ridge St. When they reached the house, a dark colored SUV pulled up, and a white female got out. They identified her as Edmondson.
Tom asked her if she lived there, and she said, yes, with her son, Kyle Frantz. Tom asked if Kyle was in the house, but Edmondson said she wasn't sure. Tom told her police were investigating criminal mischief and wanted to talk to her son.
Police went into the house along with Edmondson, whom they had asked to verify his presence.
Upon walking into the dining room, Tom noticed a black and clear glass pipe on a computer desk, in plain view. He picked up the pipe, and smelled marijuana on it.
He seized the pipe and asked Edmondson who it belonged to. She said it was hers.
