Lansford woman faces drug charges

Lansford police have charged a borough woman with drug offenses.

Jennifer Marchorro, 33,was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on June 23.According to an affidavit of probable cause, officer Charles Horvath met with a confidential informant who told him Marchorro was trying to sell 19 bags of heroin to a Daniel Hollan for $180. He said the drug, in pink bags, and a syringe were kept in an eyeglass case.About a half-hour later, Lansford officer Shawn Nunnemacher saw Marchorro in front of her house. She got into the passenger seat of a car driven by a Jamie Bauder.They drove a short distance and picked up Hollan.Nunnemacher stopped the car, with assistance from Chief Jack Soberick and Horvath.Bauder allowed police to search her car. They found a white work glove stuffed with two prescription medication bottles and a white eyeglass case.One bottle contained Suboxone prescribed for Marchorro. The other was unlabeled and contained alprazolam, which Marchorro said was hers.The eyeglass case contained a broken steel spoon, and a cigarette box containing 23 pink bags of heroin.Hollan was found to have $220 in $20 bills in his pocket.
