The Palmerton Area Library offers so much more than books.

Watercolor painting classes are offered two days a week for children. Call the teacher at 610-824-4962 for more information.Teen Advisory Group is for teens in grades 5-12. New members are always welcome. The teens are painting and remodeling the new teen area in the basement. Call the library and ask for Mariann for details.The Annual Fund Drive is going on now. Show your support for the Palmerton Area Library by making a donation today.The Knitting Club meets the first and third Monday of each month from 6-8 p.m. It is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting of all skill levels. The club meets all summer long.Yoga classes are offered every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Call the teacher at 570-436-1762 for more information or stop in on Saturday mornings.Due to the high demand, new beginner computer classes have been added for August. Call soon since class size is limited.The Palmerton Area Library basement book sale is open regular library hours. New books arrive on a weekly basis as well as movies, puzzles and CD's.Volunteers are always needed to sort and place books on shelves.Adults, teens and kids, sign up for the "Star Chain" contest. Read as many books as you can this summer and compete in your age group for fun prizes. The contest will run until Sept. 1. It is free and open to all.Sign up now for Cake and Cupcake Decorating Classes on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Call the library to sign up. Class size is limited.Check out the library website at
