Nesquehoning Ambulance conducting fund drive

The Nesquehoning Ambulance Corps is presently conducting its 2012/2013 subscription drive. The subscription is for unlimited emergency transports along with paramedic services provided by Lehighton Ambulance Association.

Subscription is for anyone 18 years or older. Family members under the age of 18 and residing in the same household as the subscriber will be covered for out of pocket expenses. If you reside in the borough of Nesquehoning you should have received a subscription pack in the mail. If you have not received the subscription packet, please contact the ambulance station at (570) 669-6684 and leave a message.A subscription is not the same as a donation. With a subscription you are covered for out of pocket expenses above what your insurance pays on emergency ambulance transports. Most insurance co-pays and deductibles are significantly higher on emergency ambulance transports. If the subscriber does not have medical insurance coverage, the entire cost of the service will be covered. The Nesquehoning Ambulance Corps does not provide inter-facility transports or transports home from facilities. The Nesquehoning Ambulance Corps is strictly a volunteer organization providing emergency medical services to the community. With over 500 calls responded to over the past year and only a handful of volunteers, the ambulance corps needs the community's help in order for this service to continue.Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the station.
