Diane L. Miller, 18, of Lehighton R. 4, was the recipient of a top award during the 62nd annual National 4-H Congress held in Chicago. Miss Miller is the first Pennsylvanian ever to receive the Gertrude Warren Award for outstanding 4-H participation. Gertrude Warren is referred to as "the mother of 4-H." Miss Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Miller, was selected by Penn State University to attend the session. She is only the second person from Carbon County to attend.
