Pleasant Valley raises over $2,250 for Autism Speaks

On Sunday, October 9, over 30 members of the PV Proud team participated in the Walk Now for Autism endorsed by Autism Speaks at Pocono Raceway.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism, and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bring hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder.Autism affects 1 in 110 children but receives less than five percent of the research funding of many prevalent childhood diseases. Through local business sponsorships, a crazy hat day for students and local donations, PV Proud and the students of Chestnuthill, PVE, PVI and Polk raised over $2,250 for Autism Speaks. They would like to thank everyone who gave their support and donations.
