Porcupine Pat, a member of the Schuylkill Conversation District, displayed and presented a large array of simple toys, some 200 years old, as part of the Tamaqua Historical Society's Classic Toy Show on display until Nov. 23.

Some of the simple toys explained consisted of Lincoln Logs, Tumbling Tommy, noise rattles, Moonwinder, Buzzsaw, Slinky, Etchasketch, Pecking Chickens, cornhusk dolls, Cracker Jack box toys, willow whistle, Brick-A-Brack, jump rope, rain stick, wirlygig, jumping bear, spin tops, Skyhook, Yo-Yo, silly putty and walking stilts.The free show was held as part of the Tamaqua Historical Society's Classic Toy Show being held at the Tamaqua Art Gallery, aka Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce, 114 West Broad Street.The entire collection is on display today until 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The display is free and open to the public.
