Four area subdivision plans were acted upon by the Carbon County Planning Commission recently.

On Thursday, the board approved three plans and conditionally rejected one. The actions are as follows:Louis P. and Jane Cervenak received conditional plan rejection for a proposed subdivision at 174/176 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton. The plans call for subdividing a .1462-acre lot into two lots. Ivan O. Meixell Jr., county planner, said that zoning variances may be required from the borough because the proposal does not meet minimum lot size requirements.Frank P. and Renee K. Rapa received plan approval for a proposed lot line revision at Wertman Hollow Road in East Penn Township. The plan calls for combining two lots to create a 12.828-acre plot.Kenneth L. and Loretta E. George received plan approval for a proposed subdivision at the intersection of Forest Inn Road and Kenneth Lane in Lower Towamensing Township. The plan calls for subdividing 8.729 acres of land into two lots.David Davidovich Jr. received plan approval for a proposed subdivision at 10 E. Cherry St., Village of Tresckow, Banks Township. The plan calls for combining three lots to create a .35-acre lot.In other matters, the commission also accepted nominations for the Carbon County Conservation District farm director and public director positions; and approved comments for a revised proposed zoning ordinance amendment regarding building height in Mahoning Township.Meixell said that the amendment allows new buildings to be 50 feet tall as long as a fire suppression system is installed.
