Community supper

A free community supper will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 Race St., from 4-6 p.m. The meal for this month will be pork and sauerkraut.Halloween partyThe Sunday School of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold its annual Halloween party on Monday, Oct. 24, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the church auditorium. The party is for youngsters of the Sunday School from nursery through sixth grade. There will be games, prizes and refreshments.Halloween paradeThe Jim Thorpe Halloween Parade is Sunday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. It will proceed from Jim Thorpe Area High School, down Center Street to Ninth Street and onto North Street. The parade will end at Second and Center streets.Complimentary buses will shuttle participants back to Memorial Hall for free refreshments and awards.
