A Palmerton man pleaded guilty on Thursday in Carbon County court to endangering the welfare of child. He was one of several defendants in pending criminal matters to enter a guilty plea before Senior Judge Richard W. Webb.

Palmerton incidentAdam Cebrosky, 23, pleaded to the endangering count for an incident that occurred on April 7 in Palmerton.Police were called to the Palmerton Hospital emergency room by personnel of the Office of Children & Youth. Upon arrival officers said a 11-year-old boy was receiving medical treatment of multiple bruises on his face. Police charged Cebrosky with causing those injuries.Police said the incident occurred at a residence along Lehigh Avenue.Webb deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probaition office to prepare a presentence investigation (PSI).Other pleasOther defendants who entered pleas included:Dennis Shane Cardano, 31, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of driving under the influence (DUI), and a summary offense of speeding.He was arrested on Feb. 23 along Mauch Chunk Road in Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .23BAC.Webb deferred sentencing to a later date.David J. Kline, 19, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty in two pending cases.He pleaded to one count each of resisting arrest and escape. He was arrested for the resisting charge on Sept. 24, 2010, at along Gypsy Hill Road, in Mahoning Township during a speeding stop. The escape charge stems from a June 18, 2010, incident along Horseshoe Lane, in East Penn Township.On the escape count Webb placed Kline on probation for a year and imposed zero tolerance on drug and alcohol use. On the resisting charge he was placed on probation for a year consecutive to the escape count. He was given credit for 53 days spent in prison on the charges.Regina Messinger, 50, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of DUI. She was arrested on March 27 along Little Gap Road, in Lower Towamensing Township. Given a test, the result was .21BAC.Webb placed her on probation for six months and ordered she pay a fine of $300, and get a drug and alcohol (D&A) evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment.Ashly Nicole Tansley, 22, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of criminal conspiracy-altered writing. She was arrested on March 30 by Palmerton police for an incident at the Rite Aid pharmacy where she altered a prescription for percocet.Webb deferred sentencing and ordered a PSI.Andrew Jason Tyahla Sr., 41, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of DUI. He was arrested on March 5 along Delaware Avenue in Palmerton.Webb deferred sentencing and ordered a PSI.ARD placementClarice A. Ruch, 48, of Palmerton, was placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program for first time offenders. If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.Ruch was placed on a charge of DUI. She was arrested on Feb. 3 along Delaware Aveune in Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .14BAC.Webb placed her for a year and ordered she pay $400 for the cost of the program, get a D&A evaluation, and license suspended for 30 days.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
