Sydney Reese, 14, of Slatington, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National Miss Pennsylvania Pageant. The pageant will take place at the Hilton Harrisburg Aug. 8.

Reese will be participating in the junior teen division. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant in California, where she will receive a tour of Hollywood and two tickets to Disneyland.Reese is sponsored by her parents Denise and David Reese of Slatington, aunt Lisa and other family and friends.She enjoys modeling, reading and spending time with her family.She is a student at Northern Lehigh.
