Next month will mark the 4 1/2 year anniversary of the burning of the East Lehigh Street homes in the borough of Coaldale, and some borough council members and residents are still expressing their dissatisfaction with the legal red tape that has to be unraveled before the structures can be demolished. The row of homes was badly damaged on Jan. 13, 1985. They still stand today. President Geno Poli said the last thing council heard about the issue was funding for the demolition of the three properties "was coming through."
