The remaining list of activities for the Panther Valley Senior Center is as follows: June 20 exercise at 10 a.m. and a Father's Day celebration. On June 21, lottery bingo is at 11 a.m. June 22 everyone plays cards and shoots darts. June 23, guest speaker is Dr. Behler on colorectal cancer at 11 a.m. June 24 is the yard sale at 9 a.m.On June 27 there is exercise at 10 a.m. and pay bingo at 11 a.m. On June 28 is horse racing at 11 a.m.; June 29 is exercise at 10 a.m. and ice cream after lunch; June 30 is penny game at 11 a.m.Summit HillHistorical societyThe Summit Hill Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting tonight at 7 o'clock at the museum on East Ludlow Street. Lee Mantz, president, will be in charge of the session.Committee reports will be presented on the wedding photos for display at the museum; license plates, throws and books.New business to be discussed includes the framed photographs for the community center and borough hall, as well as the 100th anniversary of Ludlow Park.The society is planning its annual picnic for members for Wednesday, July 20.St. Paul LutheranThe Rev. George Zacharda, a retired pastor from Catasauqua, will be the guest minister at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, on Sunday, June 19. He will preside and preach at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.To honor graduatesSt. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will recognize graduates from the parish at the weekend Masses on Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19.The students and their parents are also invited to be guests of the parish at the monthly breakfast to be held Sunday, June 19.Graduates and/or their parents are asked to notify the parish of the graduate by submitting on an index card the members of your family who are graduating. The information should indicate the name, their relationship to you, your name, what grade and high school they are graduating from, where they might be going college, graduate school, workforce, etc.Special recognition will be given to four senior servers/sacristans who will be graduating, including Katelyn Collevechio, Laura Cinicola, Rachel Krajcirik and Michael Heffelfinger.LansfordBoard meetingThe board of Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, will meet on Thursday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the parish center of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford.Food pantryThe Lansford Food Pantry is being held on May 20 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104East Abbott St. The food pantry is held on the third Monday of each month and serves the residents of Lansford who meet the income guidelines.The food pantry is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers of the community. Food items are purchased by state and federal funding and from donations from local businesses and residents which have been decreasing over the past few years. Anyone wishing to make a monetary or food donation or who would like more information about the program can contact Betty Pearson at (570) 645-3416 or Richard Willing at (570) 657-6159.The food pantry is in desperate need of the community's help, especially with today's economy. Any businesses or groups interested in becoming involved in any way should contact the representatives listed above. Abbott St., Lansford, holds an informal worship: a spiritual, peaceful evening service with Holy Communion.
