A Carbon County man is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident that occurred about 3 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at 425 Hahns Dairy Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said Matthew Steinmetz, 31, of Palmerton, was charged for allegedly kicking and pushing a 40-year-old female from Palmerton at the above location and time.
