State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on several crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roads.

A crash occurred about 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, along SR902 at Woodland Drive, in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Lewis R. Achenbach Jr., 65, of Pottsville, driving a 2001 Lexus RX300, attempted to pull out from Woodland Drive to go eastbound on 902 and failed to see a 1999 Nissan Maxima, operated by Mildred A. Yasenchak, 79, of Pottsville, eastbound. Yasenchak applied her brakes to try and avoid a collision but could not and the vehicles collided.Yasenchak sustained a minor injury in the accident while Achenbach was not hurt. Damages were disabling to both vehicles.Troopers said Achenbach was cited for causing the crash.A one vehicle crash occurred about 4:04 p.m. on Monday, May 30, along SR895 at the intersection with Manor Rd., in Wayne Township. Troopers said Walter R. Burns Jr., 65, of Jonestown, was driving a 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound and nearing the intersection and negotiating a 90 degree right curve. A piece of farm machinery that had traveled through the area earlier had sprung a leak in a hydraulic hose.The oil was sprayed on the road and it caused the bike to slid on the surface, troopers said. Burns and his passenger, Gloria J. Urban, 67, of Shillington, both sustained minor injuries, troopers said, and were treated at the scene.A two vehicle crash was reported on Tuesday, May 31, along SR183 at the intersection with SR901, in Cressona.Troopers said Milton L. Emerich, 83, of Cressona, was northbound on 183 operating a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser while Michael W. Moran, 59, of Pottsville, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Lumina westbound on 901. Troopers said the traffic light was green for both drivers.Emerich attempted to make a left hand turn and pulled directly in front of Moran and an impact occurred.Emerich sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene while Moran was not hurt.Troopers cited Emerich for limitations on turning around.A crash occurred about 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of SR895 and Summit Lane, in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Cynthia D. Svenson, 45, of Auburn, struck a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Leianne Cunningham Phillips, 50, of Hamburg, while attempting to make a right hand turn onto Summit Lane from 895. After impact the Grand Am spun in a clockwise direction and came to rest facing northeast. The Jeep came to rest at the point of impact.Phillips was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment. Svenson was not injured.Troopers cited Svenson for the crash.
