The first grade class at Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, recently took a field trip to the Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary in Jim Thorpe. They learned about the life cycle of a butterfly, butterfly habitats, the parts of a butterfly's body, and how to care for butterflies. Students enjoyed creating an art project out of dry pasta noodles, showing the different stages in a butterfly's life. The highlight of their day was interacting with live butterflies and luna moths in the Flutterarium.
