Beltzville State Park is open again for swimming. The swimming area was closed Friday due to high levels of bacteria. The swimming area was closed as a precaution last week when a water sample showed higher levels than the state allows.

The water was retested and the swimming area/beach has reopened.Beltzville State Park features a 525-foot sand beach which is usually open from late-May to Labor Day, from 8 a.m. to sunset. The beach is a swim at your own risk location and there are posted rules to follow for swimming. A bathhouse is located near the beach.
