First Steps, a support group for mothers, will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 1, at the Primitive Methodist Church, 55 Hunter St., Tamaqua. The meeting will be held in the church social room from 6:30-7:30 p.m.Participants will learn how to make fabric wreaths.The sessions are free and open to the public. The guide lists the dates, locations and contact numbers for more than 100 agricultural fairs/events scheduled for this summer and fall.The state Department of Agriculture also hosts the annual Pennsylvania State Farm Show, the largest indoor agricultural exhibition in the country. Hours will be from 1-6 p.m.Anyone 17 or older, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in general good health is eligible to donate blood. Each unit of donated blood has the potential to help save three lives.
