State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers recently.

On Friday, April 22, about 9:12 a.m. a one vehicle crash occurred along Old Stage Road in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Shari N. Edwards, 24, of Albrightsville, was driving a 1994 Nissan Altima westbound when she lost control. The car went onto the berm and into a ditch. The front end impacted with the ditch and then overturned onto the driver's side where it came to rest. Edwards was not injured.A one vehicle crash occurred about 6:13 p.m. on April 12 along SR209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Codey C. Zemanek, 18, of Pocono Summit, was driving a 2001 Plymouth Neon southbound when he crossed over into the northbound lane and onto the east berm. The car then continued off the road and across a private road until it struck a split rail fence and brick wall where it came to rest.Zemanek was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, by Wing Gap ambulance. He was cited for careless driving, troopers said.A two vehicle crash occurred about 10:11 a.m. on Monday, April 25, along SR115 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said James Reilly, 48, of Saylorsburg, was northbound operating a 1996 Ford Ranger and slowing down to turn left into the parking lot of the Carriage House when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 1999 Ford van operated by Robert Francis Cramer, 25, of Stroudsburg.Both drivers sustained minor injuries in the crash, troopers said.Troopers investigated a crash about 7:15 p.m. on April 12 along SR209 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Charles E. Kagel, 56, of Saylorsburg, was stopped prior to entering 209 from a private driveway. As Kagel pulled out to make a left turn he stopped in the northbound lane. Timothy S. Talbot, 19, of Effort, who was northbound, was unable to stop and struck Kagel's 2004 Subaru Outback with his 1999 Volkeswagen Jetta.Kagel, Talbot and his passengers, Brian Kagel, 11, Christopher Tomala, 10, and Dylan J. Penny, 17, all of Effort, were all not injured.Troopers said Kagel was cited for vehicles entering or crossing a highway.
