Awarded full scholarship

Chris Carroll of Albrightsville was awarded a full tuition-scholarship to The Automotive Training Center in Warminster, PA. This scholarship is worth approximately $37,000. Chris competed against three hundred students for this scholarship. The preliminary portion consisted of a written test Chris took back in January, where he placed in the top 15. This past week Chris was invited to the campus to participate in an interview process with the College president, local auto dealership owners and CEO's. The program of studies consists of an eighty week intensive advance training program. Once Chris graduates he will earn his diploma and will be certified in ASE(Automotive Service Excellence), and MACK (Mobile Air-conditioning Certification). Chris is currently certified to perform PA state inspections. He earned this certification during his senior year at Carbon Career & Technical Institute under the direction of his instructor, Hal Resh. Chris competed this year in the district competition for SKillsUSA/VICA and the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association competition at the Northampton Community College. Chris will graduate from CCTI June 9th. Chris feels coming to CCTI gave him a better understanding of the Automotive field and the advancements the industry is currently making. Chris encourages all students to consider coming to CCTI to see the opportunities that the school has to offer. He is the son of Patricia and David Carroll of Albrightsville.
