No commercial properties please.Fire company meetingMembers of the Phoenix Fire Company will meet on Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m. at the company headquarters.Touchdown ClubThe Jim Thorpe Touchdown Club members will meet on Monday, April 11, at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the high school. The meeting is open to parents, guardians and friends of the Jim Thorpe football program, from junior high to varsity teams.Afternoon of MusicAn afternoon of music will be presented by Jessica Weidman, at the Ebenezer E.C. Church, 441 Center Ave., at 4 p.m. The concert is free, however, a free will offering will be taken for the benefit of an upcoming Scotland Missions trip.Food pantryThe Shepherd House Food Pantry at Ebenezer E.C. Church, 441 Center Ave., will be open on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents within the Jim Thorpe School District will receive a three-day supply of food. Proof of income is not required, however you will be asked to sign an income verification form.
