A local concert scheduled on Saturday by Loretta Lynn, a legendary country music singer, has been postponed.

The concert was set for Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.The new date is Friday, Oct. 14. Tickets for the Saturday concert will be honored at the Oct. 14 performance.The show was called off because Lynn has undergone emergency knee surgery.She had been scheduled to put on a concert Friday night in Philadelphia but that concert also was postponed due to the surgery.Lynn has had dozens of hits including her signature song "Coal Miner's Daughter" for which a movie was made.Other hits include "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)," "When the Tingle Becomes A Chill," and "One's On the Way."The next Penn's Peak concert is Thursday, March 24, when the Ireland-based band Thin Lizzie performs.Thin Lizzy is a Dublin band that exploded onto the music scene.Once lead by Phil Lynott, the band produced classic hits like "Jailbreak," "The Boys Are Back In Town," "Still In Love With You," "Cold Sweat" and "Emerald."They reached their pinnacle of success in 1983 and a mere three years later, they lost their founding member, Phil Lynott.Decades have past, but Thin Lizzy still retains their stellar sound and influence, just with a new and improved lineup.Hoping to entice a whole new generation of fans, Thin Lizzy's current lineup is as follows: Alumni Scott Gorham, Brian Downey and Darren Wharton along with Viv Campbell (Def Leppard), Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Ted Nugent) and Ricky Warwick (The Almighty's). Universal Music has also committed to a series of re-issue, deluxe and special releases of classic Thin Lizzy material.
