DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.

On Friday, Jan. 21, about 9:34 p.m. troopers stopped John K. Peters, 50, of Kunkletown, operating a 1992 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck for a stop sign violation at the intersection of Christman and 57 roads, in Eldred Township, Monroe County.He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest. During the course of the investigation it was learned that there was an outstanding warrant for Peters' arrest for a DUI in Monroe County. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville on the warrant, troopers added.About 9:48 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, troopers stopped Ricky G. Andrew, 28, of Lehighton, for a traffic violation along Fireline Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.About 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, troopers said Gerald C. Gardner, 46, of Sciota, got his 1997 Saturn struck in a snow bank in the area of 5620 Interchange Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.
