It is obvious by the "Occupy Wall Street" movement and the continued influence of the Tea Party participants that politics has become a major interest of Americans.

With unemployment at unacceptable levels, tax rates most of us can't afford, and an economy that reeks, people are fed up the way some things have been happening.There's only one way to make changes. That is to vote on Election Day.This isn't to imply that all changes are good. There are instances where you might feel incumbents should be retained.Whether you seek change or want to see existing political leaders retain their offices, tomorrow is when you help to decide. You can vote for or against candidates for some very important offices.County commissioner races are heated in some counties, including Carbon. A lot of information has been distributed about each of the candidates seeking the office.Now it's up to you to decide who represents you in that office for the next four years.The commissioners in each of the counties have some difficult decisions to make. Tax increases could be on the horizon. It's up to you, the voter, to decide what candidates can best handle the upcoming situations and give you the best representation.The office of sheriff, recorder of deeds, and coroner are among the challenged offices in Carbon County. Support the candidate you want to have that office by voting tomorrow.On a lot of ballots, there are contested races for school boards, borough councils, and township supervisors. Your vote does count. Enough votes will get your candidate elected.It's easy to sit back and complain about political leaders. An old adage states that "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."Tomorrow you have a chance to be part of the solution. Take the time to vote.It's important. It's about our future.In some countries, people wait in lines for hours to cast ballots.
