St. Luke's emergency services fully operational

As the result of a water main break at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, last Wednesday and subsequent flooding of the ground floor, services at the hospital were impacted.

The hospital emergency department is now fully operational, while some outpatient services are open with limited hours and others remain closed.The emergency department was taken off of divert status as of 7 a.m. on Saturday, November 5. The Radiology Department remains closed for outpatient services until further notice. Laboratory services are available on Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.Andrea Visnosky Hahn, St. Luke's Director of Marketing/Public Relations, is asking all patients to enter the hospital through the Emergency Department entrance on the ground floor."As a result of the diligent, aggressive and tireless efforts of our team, we were able to take our Emergency Department off of divert status this morning," shared Bill Moyer, President, St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, "and restore our hospital services for fully operational status."St. Luke's Rehabilitation & Nursing Center (formerly St. Luke's Miners Geriatric Center) has remained open and continues to accept new resident referrals. Members of the community and employees of the hospital are encouraged to call the hotline for an updated recording at (570) 645-1500. Family members can visit or call (570) 645-8205 with any patient concerns. Updates will continue to be provided as they become available.
