Schuylkill court candidates draw their ballot positions

Candidates for the Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas and two state courts drew for positions on the ballot at the State Election Bureau in Harisburg.

The lineups on the ballots for the May 17th Primary Election will be:Court of Common Pleas of Schuylkill County Republican ballot, Lloyd R Hampton, 110 Gordon Road, Ashland; James P. Goodman, 16 Cottage Hill, West, Pottsville; James G Conville, 333 First Street, Port Carbon; Gary D. Marchalk, 204 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, and Cal Shields, 1947 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville (one to be nominated for 10 year term). Democratic ballot, Cal Shields, James G. Conville, James P. Goodman and Gary D. Marchalk (one to be nominated).Hampton did not cross-file. Five candidates are seeking the seat vacated by Judge D. Michael Stine who retired before completing his term. HIs seat for the remainder of the year will be vacant and to meet the heavy court load a senior judge has been sitting in at hearings.Judge of Pennsylvania Superior Court Republican ballot, Vic Stabile, 255 North Old Stonehouse Road, Carlisle and Paula A. Patrick, 7017 Sherwood Road, Philadelphia (one to be nominated). Democratic ballot, David N. Wecht, 424 Hartwood Trail, Pittsburg, only candidate.Judge of Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Republican ballot, Paul P. Panepinto, 7036 Woodbine Avenue, Philadelphia and Anne Covey, 1594 River Road, New Hope (one to be nominated). Democratic ballot, Kathryn Boockvar, 76 Pine Valley Road, Doylestown and Barbara Behrend Ernsberger, 5116 Bayard Street, Pittsburg (one to be elected).
