NV gets 5th win

Northern Valley picked up its fifth Lehigh Valley Legion win, while the Birches suffered a Norco loss to the Jeffs on Tuesday.

Zach Palansky struck out seven batters to lead Northern Valley to a 4-2 win over Southern Lehigh.

Palansky had a two-hit shut out going through five innings. After giving up two hits and two runs in the sixth, he allowed two hits to open the seventh before giving way to Sawyer Smith, who got out of the jam with a double play and strikeout.

Kyle Schomp had two hits and three RBIs for Northern Valley (5-1). Tyler Hill added two hits and two runs scored.

Luis Garcia and Brandon Magara both doubled and drove in a run to highlight a six-run sixth inning and the Jeffs posted a 6-1 win over the Birches in Norco Legion action.

Daniel Hrbek had two hits, one of them a double, and scored a run for the Bitches (6-4) while Derrik Walling singled and had an RBI.
