State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating an incident in which a brother assaulted his sister. Troopers said the incident occurred about 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, at a property along Oak Road, in Washington Township.

Troopers said Pamela Jean Heiser, 36, of Schuylkill Haven, went to trailers where her father stores belongings. While there Ernest Dale Scheaffer, 35, also of Schuylkill Haven, arrived and was upset that Heiser, his sister, was in the trailers. A verbal argument ensued.Troopers said the argument turned physical when Scheaffer allegedly pushed Heiser and then punched her in the face causing a split lip and swelling around the cheekbone.Scheaffer was arrested for simple assault, troopers said.
