William Oquendo Gonzalez, 56, of Bethlehem, has been charged by state police at Lehighton with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.
According to police, Gonzalez was stopped for a traffic violation - driving on roadways laned for traffic. Police said they gave Gonzalez sobriety tests, then cited him DUI of alcohol or controlled substance.The incident occurred at about 9:05 p.m. on June 29 on SR248 eastbound near the Bowmanstown ramp.
