Night Lights: AmerTac is recalling LED Night Lights sold March 2009 - January 2011. An electrical short circuit in the night light can cause it to overheat and smolder or melt, which can burn consumers or result in fire. Vacuums: Hoover Inc. is recalling HooverÃÂ® WindTunnel Canister Vacuums sold March 2003 - December 2008. The power cord between the power nozzle and the wand connector can short-circuit posing fire and shock hazards. This condition can occur even if the vacuum has been turned off but left plugged in. Electric Heaters: Lasko Products is recalling portable electric heaters sold September 2002 - late 2004. An electrical connection in the base of the unit can overheat, causing it to melt and expose the electrical connection, posing a fire hazard. Portable Heaters: PD Sixty Distributor is recalling portable space heaters sold October 2008 - March 2009. The space heater can overheat because of loose electrical connections, posing a fire hazard. Consumers should contact PD Sixty, 866-367-4538, www.CHSrecall.com, for a free replacement heater.
Fire Alarm Control Panels: Tyco Safety Products is recalling Simplex Fire Alarm Control Panels sold May - September 2010. The recalled fire alarm control panels can fail to send a signal to alert monitoring centers in the event of a fire. Snow Bikes: Tech 4 Kids Inc. is recalling Outer Edge snow bikes sold September 2010 - January 2011. The front ski can crack or break, causing the snow bike to stop suddenly and posing a fall hazard.
