April Bowers of Clearfield, Pa., daughter of Robert and Joanne Bowers of Lehighton, became the bride of Roy Simpson of Penfield, Pa., son of Carol and Michael Simpson, also of Penfield, on Oct. 2, 2010 at Weedville Wesleyan Church, Weedville, Pa.

The Rev. Bryon Kleppinger of Weedville officiated at the double ring ceremony.Jeremiah Tyler of Virginia, a friend of the bride, was the vocalist, while the bride's sister, Laura Kleppinger of Weedville, was the pianist. Sara Pysher, Lehighton, also a friend of the bride, played the flute.Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Jennifer Miller of Slatington as the maid of honor. Rebecca Tyler, Virginia, was a bridesmaid. The flower girl was Abigail Wilcock, Lemoyne, Pa., the bride's niece.Matt Simpson, Penfield, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Paul Simpson, Rockton, Pa., the bridegroom's cousin, was an usher.The couple greeted family and friends at a reception at Camp Mountain Run in Penfield, followed by a honeymoon trip to Pittsburgh.Prenuptial parties for the couple were hosted by family and friends.The new Mrs. Simpson holds a bachelor of arts degree from Houghton College. She is employed as a middle school math teacher.Mr. Simpson holds a bachelor of science from Lock Haven University. He is employed by Fayette Resources in DuBois, Pa.The couple currently resides in Clearfield.
